Welcome to Sheffield Antiques, The treasures I find are a link to our past and the ultimate 're-use' business. I travel to Europe several times a year, primarily to the northern Mediterranean countries, and tend to buy smaller more curated shipments. I'm looking for the 'one' not the many and I know it when I see it. I want the item to show its life in its finish, wear or patina. Ordinary will not do.

I started in this business by chance, working in an antique shop in Wych Hill, England in the 1980's. I completed an apprenticeship in French polishing and restoration before moving to the USA in 1991 to help with the restoration of the Alabama State Capital  and Supreme Court buildings. We are the only antique import business located along the uniquely beautiful 30A corridor.
